Going beyond academics, we work on developing students’ strengths in extra-curricular domains. Here arts, crafts, music, dance, drama, and sports are given equal importance.

The services of experts are enlisted for conducting classes in Art Education. The options are

  • Drawing and Craft
  • Dance
  • Music - Instrumental and Vocal

The students are divided into four houses, and activities are planned under the supervision of house-in-charge teachers and spearheaded by the house captains, vice-captains, and house leaders. For competitions conducted in the literary and cultural fields and in sports and games, entries are received based on house identities while group events are assessed on an inter-house basis. The best house is awarded a rolling trophy.

Inter-house Literary & Cultural Competitions

Competitions are conducted during the first term of the year. We encourage our students to participate in inter-school competitions. The teachers involve themselves deeply in developing the extra-curricular talents of the students.

Annual Academic Day Programme

At Swathy School, games are not only considered as physical exercise but also more importantly as an integral part of the education and a means of training in cooperation, team spirit, courage, character, and leadership. Regular sessions in PT, Yoga, Karate, and Sports and Games are conducted. Special training in Football, Volleyball, and Cricket is given. The Swathy Football team has brought honour to the institution by bagging the Winner/Runner up trophy for the last two years in the Palakkad District Sahodaya and in the All-Kerala CBSE Football tournaments.

The students participate with great commitment and interest in all events of sports and games, and we witness the pinnacle of their enthusiasm and camaraderie during the mega event of the Annual Athletic Day usually held in the month of November.

Sports & Athletic Events

Significant initiatives are undertaken to connect the students to society, to the environment and most importantly, to their own selves. Observance of Environment Day, Anti-Addiction Day, Teacher’s Day, and Children’s day, and celebrations like Independence Day, Onam, Bakrid, and Christmas fall in this category and are occasions for inculcating core values of love, respect, empathy, and discipline.
